In practice yes: Verkkokurssikassa is meant to be used in place of Systeme.io's native checkout. The checkout and payments move to Verkkokurssikassa, and your courses stay in Systeme.io. Nothing prevents you from using Systeme.io's native checkout at the same time, if you want to sell some products through it.

Which Systeme.io tier does the integration require?

On Systeme.io's free plan you can create one automation and one tag, which is enough to sell a single product through Verkkokurssikassa. To sell multiple products you need at least the Startup plan, which includes 10 tags, 10 automation rules, and 5 workflows. Check your own plan limits on Systeme.io's pricing page.

Which payment methods can I offer for Systeme.io through Verkkokurssikassa?

The activated payment methods depend on the integrations you choose. Through Paytrail you get Finnish online bank payments, MobilePay, cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Siirto, Klarna, PayPal, and invoice methods. Through Stripe you get the methods enabled on your Stripe account, for example cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, iDEAL, and MobilePay. Employee benefits (Epassi, Smartum, Edenred) are each their own integration.

Do I need my own agreement with Paytrail or Stripe?

How does the Systeme.io activation work technically?

You add your Systeme.io API key to Verkkokurssikassa's integration settings. You'll find the key in Systeme.io under Profile (top right) → Public API keys. Then you attach a post-purchase action to your product that adds the customer as a Systeme.io contact and sets the chosen tag on them. You build the matching automation in Systeme.io yourself, with a Tag added trigger and an action such as Grant access to a course. After a successful payment, Verkkokurssikassa adds the tag to the customer and the Systeme.io automation grants access. It works the same whether the buyer is already a Systeme.io contact or not.
